Job summary

Amazon Data Services Emirates LLC is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer in Abu Dhabi to oversee the mechanical and electrical infrastructure of AWS data centers. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and improve UPS, switchgear, generators, HVAC, and related systems to ensure high availability.

You will work in a safety-conscious environment with rotational shifts. The role requires 2+ years in data center engineering and a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory and systems.
• Experience with HVAC, mechanical systems and controls.
• Minimum 2 years in data center engineering.

Responsibilities

• Follow and uphold safety standards and foster a safety culture.
• Support electrical and mechanical equipment including UPS, switchgear, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC and related systems.
• Operate and maintain data center mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and drive cost-effective improvements.
• Respond to on-call rotations and manage daily operational readings.
