Qualifications

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining enterprise data architecture, driving data modernization initiatives, establishing governance standards, and enabling scalable analytics platforms that support business intelligence, AI/ML, and digital transformation objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, principles, and target-state roadmaps.
• Design scalable and secure data platforms supporting reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and AI use cases.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data domains.
• Establish architecture governance processes aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Lead the design and delivery of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Data Lake, and Lakehouse initiatives.
• Define data integration, modeling, and analytics strategies across structured and unstructured datasets.
• Design dimensional models, semantic layers, and reporting architectures for analytics and executive dashboards.
• Ensure a single source of truth through effective data quality and master data management practices.
• Design and implement hybrid data architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop migration strategies from legacy data platforms to modern cloud-based architectures.
• Architect solutions for data ingestion, integration, and real-time analytics requirements.
• Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks and stewardship processes.
• Establish standards for data classification, metadata management, retention, lineage, and quality.
• Design controls for protecting sensitive and regulated data.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture solutions.
• Provide architectural leadership to data engineering, analytics, and project delivery teams.
• Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and governance forums.
• Mentor data engineers, analysts, and junior architects.

Must Have Skills

• Proven experience designing and leading enterprise-scale Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse programs.
• Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and architecture governance.
• Hands-on experience designing cloud and hybrid data platforms using Microsoft Azure data services.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and related analytics services.
• Strong knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, and Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Experience working with SQL-based platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience defining and implementing enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence architectures.
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale enterprise data initiatives.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Data Cataloging, Data Lineage, and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Experience with Data Retention and Lifecycle Management frameworks.
• Experience designing Data Streaming and Real-Time Analytics architectures.
• Experience with API-led integration patterns and modern integration frameworks.
• Experience implementing Data Privacy, PII Protection, Encryption, Data Masking, Tokenization, and Access Control solutions.
• Experience delivering government, telecom, transportation, banking, or large enterprise data programs.
• Experience enabling AI/ML and Generative AI use cases using enterprise data platforms.
• Experience implementing Data Mesh or Domain-Oriented Data Architectures.
• Familiarity with sovereign cloud, regulatory compliance, and data residency requirements.
