Overview
We’re hiring: Commercial Data Analyst
Location: Dubai, ECCO Middle East.
At ECCO, craftsmanship meets innovation. We are looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Data Analyst to support our Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce channels with business enablers reporting and actionable insights.
This role reports directly to the Regional Business Controller and will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and increasing efficiency across our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting & Analysis
Build, maintain, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports across Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce.
Consolidate financial and commercial results to ensure a single source of truth for decision-making.
Monitor sales, gross margin, inventory, and sell-through performance.
Develop channel-specific KPIs and dashboards in Excel/Power BI to track progress and efficiency.
- Business Insights & Decision Support
Provide clear insights and recommendations to management based on performance data.
Identify underperforming areas, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
Support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting by supplying accurate data and variance analysis.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decisions and projects.
- Cross-Channel Collaboration
Work closely with Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce managers to align reporting standards.
Partner with Merchandising to track assortment performance and stock availability.
Collaborate with Finance to reconcile reporting and ensure data accuracy.
Provide inputs to Marketing and Operations for performance tracking of campaigns, promotions, and events.
Collaborate with global and regional data team.
- Process & Efficiency
Standardize reporting templates and processes to reduce manual work and increase speed of delivery.
Continuously improve reporting quality and efficiency through automation and system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with ECCO reporting guidelines and internal controls.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, commercial analysis, or business support, preferably within the retail or FMCG sectors.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (must-have).
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, Power BI Service, and Dataflows (must-have).
- Familiarity with Snowflake interface
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Basic knowledge of Python, R, and Pandas, or a strong interest in developing skills in these tools.
- Service-oriented with strong presentation and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs, e-commerce metrics, and wholesale dynamics.
- Ability to work with large datasets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
