Job summary

Rootsec in Dubai offers a real, hands-on internship in offensive security. You will join the team, work on real engagements for real clients, and learn from experienced ethical hackers.

This full-time internship is UAE-based, with a monthly allowance and guidance from seniors. You’ll gain practical exposure to penetration testing, OSINT, phishing simulations, and research projects while pursuing your degree.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in IT, CS or information security.
• Clear idea of what you want to learn or research.
• Good command of English, spoken and written.
• Ask questions, be critical of your own work and willing to challenge ours.
• Must be a UAE resident or hold UAE residence visa allowing internship.

Responsibilities

• Take part in real penetration tests under the guidance of a senior tester.
• Research vulnerabilities, reproduce findings and document them properly.
• Learn red teaming, OSINT, phishing simulations and client reporting in practice.
• Carry out your own research or graduation project with our support.

Job description

An internship at Rootsec is not a side project. You join the team, work on real engagements for real clients and learn from experienced ethical hackers every day. If you are studying IT or information security and you want to find out what offensive security work is really like, this is the place.

Eligibility: UAE-based candidates only. You must already live in the UAE and hold a valid residence visa, or otherwise be legally entitled to work in the UAE without employer sponsorship. We do not offer visa sponsorship or relocation for this role, and applications that depend on either will not be processed.

What you will do

• Take part in real penetration tests under the guidance of a senior tester.

What we expect
