OpenAI seeks Forward Deployed Engineers to lead complex deployments of frontier models in production. You will embed with customers where model performance matters, map problems, structure delivery, and ship fast.

You will own delivery across workstreams, ensure quality and pace, and collaborate with Research, Product, and GTM to drive measurable outcomes. Based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid 3-days-in-office model and relocation support; travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience including customer-facing work.
• Delivered complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
• Production-grade code in Python, JavaScript, or comparable stacks.
• Experience with systems powered by LLMs or generative models.
• Ability to communicate clearly with engineers, product teams and customers.

• Own delivery across multiple deployments from prototype to production.
• Build full-stack systems that deliver customer value and enable learning feedback.
• Embed with customer teams to understand needs and drive adoption of what you build.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, and remove blockers early.
• Make trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality; adjust plans to protect delivery.
• Contribute in code when necessary to advance progress or clarity.
• Codify working patterns into tools, playbooks, or building blocks for others.
• Share field feedback to help Research and Product improve models and experiences.
• Keep teams moving through clarity and follow-through.
