Job summary

Capital is seeking a Principal Security Engineer with deep crypto expertise to lead security across our regulated digital-asset business, owning custody and on-chain security end-to-end.

You will work with risk, compliance, product and engineering to define crypto-specific requirements and deliver controls within the enterprise security framework. This is a hands-on senior role reporting into the central security function.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in information security, including senior security engineer roles.
• Direct experience securing crypto, digital-asset custody, or regulated financial platforms.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain security, wallet architecture and key management.
• Working knowledge of cloud security fundamentals (AWS preferred).
• Practical knowledge of security in regulated finance and controls mapping (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
• Experience running threat modelling, risk assessments and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own custody stack security: MPC key management, signing quorums, withdrawal controls.
• Collaborate with InfraSec, AppSec and IAM to embed crypto-specific checks in the SDLC and cloud security.
• Define crypto-specific detection use cases and drive incident response for on-chain events.
• Oversee security assessment and ongoing assurance of crypto vendor stack and regulatory mapping.
