Job summary

Star Services LLC is seeking a mechanical fitter with 3–5 years of experience in steel plant maintenance to execute scheduled, preventive and corrective maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical equipment, including EOT/Jib cranes, and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.

The candidate will inspect equipment, follow predictive maintenance practices and collaborate with other departments to maintain smooth production and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• ITI in Mechanical Fitter trade with minimum 3–5 years experience in mechanical maintenance of steel plants.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of preventive & predictive maintenance methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment to optimize production and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot during breakdowns and assist in root-cause analysis for corrective actions.
• Attend to mechanical maintenance problems and communicate abnormalities for planning and rectification.
• Ensure adherence to engineering principles, safety policies and maintenance standards.
• Assist superiors and coordinate with other departments to maintain uninterrupted production.

Job description

Implement Production Optimization: To execute all scheduled (day-to-day, preventive) maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipment's in order to optimize production & minimize Material Handling down time for maintenance related development works

Facilitate Corrective Action: Responsible for trouble shooting during breakdowns of mechanical equipment's and provide the assistance to find out the root cause for corrective action maintenance related development works.

Prevent System Abnormalities: Responsible for attending mechanical maintenance problems during breakdowns in the Material Handling. To communicate to superiors of any abnormalities found in the mill in order to plan & rectify the same.

Meet Engineering/ Safety Principles: Inspection of equipment's to meet engineering principles and safety regulations in maintenance related development works.

Assistance & Support:

• To assist and help the Superiors in all technical areas to ensure smooth maintenance of the Material Handling for uninterrupted production and co-ordination with other departments.

Following Standards: Follow mechanical maintenance standards for all equipment in the Material Handling.

Observe Health, Safety and Environmental practices: To follow all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental management policies, procedures applicable to maintenance related development.

Minimum Education Qualifications: I.T.I. in Mechanical Fitter trade

Professional Experience: 3-5 years experience in Mechanicalmaintenance of Steel Plant
