Job summary

Prismark Steel is seeking a maintenance technician for its Abu Dhabi facility. The role focuses on routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring of Cut Bend machines and related equipment.

You will respond to breakdowns with quick fault identification to minimize downtime and support installations or upgrades. Applicants should hold BE/BTech/ Diploma or ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–6 years of hands-on experience, and have familiarity with PLCs,

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ Diploma or ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering preferred.
• Strong working experience with Cut & Bend machines (rebar processing lines).
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems and control circuits.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge.
• Industrial safety standards familiarity.
• Ability to work in shift operations and handle emergency breakdowns.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit to work in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and PM on Cut Bend machines and associated equipment.
• Execute breakdown maintenance with quick fault identification to minimize production downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control panels, motors, drives, sensors and encoders.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
• Carry out alignment, lubrication, tightening, and calibration activities for optimal machine performance.
• Support installation, commissioning, and trial runs of new machines or upgraded systems.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities with proper documentation.
• Maintain maintenance logs, checklists and daily reports per plant requirements.
• Ensure availability and proper usage of tools, spares and consumables.
• Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance without impacting output targets.
• Assist in RCA and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• BE/B Tech/ Diploma i/ITI n Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering industry
• Strong working experience with Cut & Bend machines (rebar processing lines) preferred
• Basic knowledge of: PLC systems and control circuits
