Astro Offshore is seeking an experienced Offshore Crane Supervisor to oversee daily lifting operations and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of offshore crane activities.
The role involves supervising crane operations, coordinating maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading personnel. Candidates should have 5+ years of offshore experience, strong technical knowledge, and excellent leadership skills.
This position will require the ability to work effectively in fast-paced offshore environments while maintaining a focus on safety.
Supervise daily offshore crane operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable lifting activities. Monitor the condition and performance of crane systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components, under marine environmental conditions. Oversee routine and preventive maintenance inspections and certification of offshore lifting equipment. Ensure all crane systems comply with offshore industry standards and are maintained in optimal working condition. Enforce adherence to marine safety protocols, lifting procedures, and international regulations such as LOLER, API RP 2D, and IMCA guidelines. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, maintenance logs, and lifting certifications. Lead and coordinate crane operators, riggers, and maintenance personnel onboard the vessel or offshore facility. Allocate tasks effectively and ensure all crane activities are carried out safely and within schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to crane equipment and lifting operations in a timely manner. Collaborate with team members to develop safe and practical solutions to operational challenges. Manage multiple crane‑related tasks and support project timelines during offshore campaigns or marine construction activities. Liaise with marine deck and engineering teams to ensure alignment with overall project and vessel operations. Prepare clear and concise reports on crane usage, performance, breakdowns, and maintenance activities. Keep thorough documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and future operational planning.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
