Job summary

Sccsinternational in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior cost controller on its project finance team. The role focuses on cost governance rather than measurement alone, with responsibilities across budgeting, forecasts, risk allowances and escalation provisions.

The ideal candidate will have a professional cost consultancy background, 10–15 years on major projects, and deep knowledge of real estate, roads, utilities and airports, plus familiarity with FIDIC contracts and earned value management.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, finance or engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience on major projects.
• Professional cost consultancy background with real estate, roads, utilities, airports.

Responsibilities

• Establish cost governance and baseline budgets with contingencies and escalation provisions.
• Develop cost breakdown structures aligned to WBS and contract pricing schedules.
• Maintain change control procedures and audit trails aligned with funding approvals.
• Forecast commitments, accruals, cost of work performed and forecast at completion.
• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual reviews with root-cause variance analysis.
• Manage commitment ledgers for POs and subcontracts with QS and planning teams.
