Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking a seasoned Cost Controller to lead budgeting, cost monitoring and reporting for complex construction projects in the UAE. You will manage budgets, analyze variances, and coordinate with procurement, finance and site teams to ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 7–12 years of cost-control experience, with specific exposure to GRC, Modular, AC Ducting or Ready Mix, and a strong grasp of budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• 7–12 years relevant experience in cost control.
• Experience specifically in GRC, Modular, AC Ducting or Ready Mix is required ONLY.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost monitoring, forecasting and cost-reporting.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets cost plans and cost-control systems.
• Monitor actual project expenditure against approved budgets and commitments.
• Track project costs for materials manpower subcontractors consultants equipment and other project activities.
• Prepare regular cost reports cash-flow forecasts budget updates and cost-performance reports.
• Coordinate with procurement commercial finance project management and site teams to collect and validate cost information.
• Review purchase orders subcontract agreements invoices payment applications and other commercial documents from a cost-control perspective.
• Monitor variations change orders claims and their impact on the approved project budget.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of Budget at Completion BAC Estimate at Completion EAC and Estimate to Complete ETC.
• Identify cost trends risks and deviations and provide recommendations to project management.
• Assist in preparing monthly project cost reports and management dashboards.
• Ensure timely updating of cost-control databases and project financial records.
• Support the commercial and contracts teams in evaluating the financial impact of variations and claims.
• Assist with project forecasting and cash-flow planning.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier commitments and ensure they are properly reflected in project cost reports.
• Participate in cost-review meetings and provide relevant financial and cost-performance information.
• Support project close-out activities including final cost reconciliation and budget analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures project controls standards and approved financial processes
