Job summary

DB Engineering & Consulting in Dubai seeks a Corridor Track Alignment Manager to lead the development and optimization of track geometry across feasibility, concept and tender phases.

Qualifications

• University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years overall, with at least 10 years in railway/metro infrastructure and corridor design.
• Experience with feasibility studies, preliminary design and tender documentation for major infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and coordination in international environments; ability to work with clients and authorities.

We are seeking a Corridor Track Alignment Manager as part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office. The job opening is located in the Middle East and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Technical lead for the development and optimization of track alignment (horizontal and vertical geometry, profiles and layouts) across all pre-contract stages (feasibility, concept and preliminary design as well as tender preparation)
• Coordination and resolution of technical interfaces between track, civil infrastructure, stations, rail systems and external networks such as roads and airport facilities
• Management of internal and external stakeholders (authorities, utilities, developers and operators) including support in securing approvals and no objection certificates
• Contribution to feasibility studies, concept development, cost estimation, risk identification and value engineering across early project stages
• Oversight and preparation of design deliverables including reports, drawings, BIM models and technical specifications in accordance with international and local standards
• Support in preparation of tender documentation, procurement strategy, bid evaluation and recommendation of contract award
• Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, quality assurance procedures, safety requirements and project schedules and acting as the key technical reference for the alignment discipline within the project team

Qualifications:

• University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 10 years in railway/metro infrastructure projects with a strong focus on track alignment and corridor design
• Proven experience in feasibility studies, preliminary design and preparation of tender documentation for major infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated experience in complex multidisciplinary projects involving multiple stakeholders and interface management
• Good knowledge of international railway standards and design practices as well as familiarity with regulatory environments in large-scale infrastructure projects
• Experience in projects in the Middle East/GCC region is advantageous, combined with strong international project exposure
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with fluency in English (written and spoken) and ability to work in an international project environment and to represent the discipline in technical discussions with clients and authorities
