Job summary

Dar, the founding member of the Sidara group, seeks an experienced Contract Administrator to manage contractual commitments across projects in the UAE. You will advise on contractual matters, review documents, and support EOT claims while coordinating with clients and project teams to maintain schedules and mitigate risks.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in contract management, a relevant engineering/construction degree, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in managing contractual commitments.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Project Management on contractual matters and manage contractual correspondences in line with Prime Contract Terms and Conditions.
• Manage contractual commitments and performance according to Client’s instructions, Specifications and Drawings, including change orders.
• Assist clients with Extension of Time (EOT) claims or responses to Contractor’s EOT claims.
• Review and interpret contract documents, including conditions, scope of works and drawings, and verify dates and milestones.
• Identify and assess delays by analyzing schedules and progress reports, collaborating with PMs and engineers.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks affecting timelines and obligations.
• Prepare delay reports and support claims or dispute resolution processes; provide expert opinions.
• Provide high quality advice on pre-contract matters including procurement strategy and tactics.
• Manage contract variations and change orders, communicating changes to stakeholders.
• Monitor and prepare estimates and claims for alterations/variations to the Contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Contract Administrator oversees contractual agreements, analyze project delays, and provide expert insights to mitigate risks and maintain project schedules. Ensure that the requirements of contract documents are implemented & maintained throughout the contract period; also responsible for the review of contractual claims, to provide contractual advice to project control/cost estimation team in respect of the evaluation of interim and final payments certificate, variations and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Advises the Project Management on contractual matters and manages the contractual correspondences in accordance with the Prime Contract Terms and Conditions, specifications and drawings including construction change orders.
• Manages the contractual commitments and performance of the work according to the Client’s instructions, Specifications and Drawings, and the Terms and Conditions of the Contract, including construction Change Orders.
• Assisting clients with the preparation of their Extension of Time (EOT) claims or responding to the Contractor’s Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Review and interpret contract documents (Contract conditions, scope of works, drawings), contract time schedule, as-built time schedule and verify actual dates, list of delay events and identify priorities with the Client to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and milestones.
• Identify and assess project delays by analyzing schedules, progress reports, and relevant documentation, collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine the causes of delays, including unforeseen events, changes in scope, and external factors.
• Develop strategies to mitigate and manage risks that could impact project timelines and contractual obligations.
• Prepare delay reports and documentation to support claims or dispute resolution processes and provide expert opinions on delay-related matters during negotiations, mediations, or legal proceedings.
• Provides high quality advice on all pre-contract contractual matters including procurement and contracting strategy and tactics.
• Manage contract variations and change orders, documenting and communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitors, evaluates and prepares fully supported estimates and claims for alternations/variations to the Contract.
• Perform any other jobs as may be assigned by the superiors.
