Job summary

Client of Dr Expat in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Spine Surgeon to diagnose and treat scoliosis and complex spine disorders, and to perform advanced spine surgeries in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physiotherapists, pain specialists and rehabilitation teams.

The role involves developing individualized treatment plans, delivering comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, and contributing to clinical governance and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Board-certified or equivalent in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.
• Fellowship in Spine Surgery.
• Minimum 8–10 years post-specialization experience.
• Extensive experience in scoliosis management and complex spine procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat scoliosis and spinal deformities.
• Perform advanced scoliosis and complex spine surgeries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of orthopedics, neurosurgery, and rehabilitation.
• Develop individualized surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care and ensure documentation compliance.

Job Responsibilities

As a Consultant Spine Surgeon you will diagnose and treat patients with scoliosis spinal deformities degenerative spine disorders and complex spinal conditions You will perform advanced spine surgeries while working closely with orthopedic surgeons neurosurgeons physiotherapists pain specialists and rehabilitation teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes Evaluate and manage patients with scoliosis and spinal deformitiesPerform complex spinal deformity correction and scoliosis surgeriesTreat degenerative traumatic and congenital spine disordersDevelop individualized surgical and non-surgical treatment plansCollaborate with multidisciplinary orthopedic and rehabilitation teamsProvide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient careMaintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with international patient safety standardsParticipate in clinical governance education and continuous professional development

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Board-certified or equivalent qualification in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
• Fellowship in Spine Surgery
• Minimum 8 10 years of post-specialization experience
• Extensive experience in scoliosis management and corrective spine surgery
• Expertise in spinal deformity correction, including adolescent and adult scoliosis
• Experience in both surgical and non-surgical spine treatments
• Strong exposure to complex spine cases
• Arabic-speaking candidates preferred
• Valid DHA, MOH, or HAAD Consultant License or eligibility
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
