Qualifications

• 3–5 years post-fellowship experience in PET-CT interpretation.

• Proficiency in English; Arabic advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Interpret PET-CT and hybrid imaging studies for oncology, neurology, and cardiology cases.
• Collaborate with oncologists, neurologists, and surgeons on diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning.
• Supervise nuclear medicine technologists and junior radiologists.
• Ensure radiation safety compliance and SCFHS standards.
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to research, teaching, and CME within the department.
• Maintain accurate reporting using PACS and RIS systems.

The role involves interpreting complex PET-CT scans, supporting oncological and neurological diagnostics, and contributing to multidisciplinary care and academic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret PET-CT and hybrid imaging studies (e.g., SPECT/CT, diagnostic CT) for oncology, neurology, and cardiology cases
• Collaborate with oncologists, neurologists, and surgeons to support diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning
• Supervise and guide nuclear medicine technologists and junior radiologists
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and SCFHS standards
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to research, teaching, and continuous medical education within the department
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting using PACS and RIS systems

Qualifications & Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Radiology
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in PET-CT / Nuclear Medicine Imaging
• Board-certified (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-fellowship experience in PET-CT interpretation
• Eligible for Consultant classification by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Experience with advanced imaging platforms and reporting systems

Preferred Attributes
