Job summary

Stafmed is recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon for a full-time position at a leading hospital in the UAE. The role covers reconstructive and/or aesthetic procedures, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead patient assessment, treatment planning, and perioperative care within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical governance and education initiatives while advancing surgical standards.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Plastic Surgery or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Tier 1 qualification (ABMS, RCPSC, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or equivalent).
• 3-5 years post-specialisation experience in Plastic Surgery.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring plastic and reconstructive surgical care.
• Perform a range of plastic, reconstructive, and/or aesthetic surgical procedures according to clinical expertise.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, clinical findings, and treatment goals.
• Perform preoperative assessments and provide comprehensive postoperative care.
• Manage complex surgical cases and potential postoperative complications.
• Provide appropriate counselling regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, and recovery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and surgical standards.
• Support medical education, training, and professional development within the department.

• Minimum 3-5 years of post-specialisation experience in Plastic Surgery
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
