We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Plastic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, and/or microsurgical care while maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management for patients requiring plastic and reconstructive procedures.
- Perform a broad range of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery procedures according to areas of expertise.
- Evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and obtain informed consent.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
- Manage complex surgical cases and potential post-operative complications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including oncology, ENT, maxillofacial surgery, dermatology, breast surgery, and other specialties where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation and operative records.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
- Follow UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of plastic surgery services within the organization.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from a recognized and accredited medical institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification/board certification in Plastic Surgery.
- Extensive post-specialization experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
- Proven experience at Consultant level in a recognized healthcare institution.
- Current professional medical registration/license in the country of practice.
- Valid DoH Abu Dhabi eligibility/license or eligibility to obtain DoH registration.
- Strong surgical portfolio and relevant operative experience.
- For surgical specialties, recent operative experience/logbook may be required as part of the UAE licensing assessment.
