Consultant Physician - Pediatric ENT Position: Full‑time Senior Consultant role located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; specialty in Pediatric Otolaryngology; requires a minimum of five years consultant‑level experience. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of infants, children and adolescents presenting with ear, nose, throat, airway, hearing, voice, and related pediatric ENT concerns.
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as recurrent ear infections, tonsillitis, adenoid disease, hearing loss, sinus problems, speech‑related ENT issues, snoring, sleep‑disordered breathing, and congenital ENT conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic results, child development needs, family preferences and evidence‑based pediatric ENT practice.
- Provide expert consultation to pediatricians, emergency physicians, family medicine doctors, audiologists, speech therapists and other medical professionals regarding pediatric ENT cases.
- Perform pediatric ENT surgical procedures when clinically required, ensuring safe pre‑operative planning, informed consent, operative care and post‑operative follow‑up.
- Monitor patient progress through outpatient reviews, hearing assessments, treatment response checks, post‑surgical recovery visits and long‑term management plans.
- Support children with hearing loss, speech and language concerns, chronic ear disease and ENT‑related developmental challenges through coordinated multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, consultation notes, procedure reports, diagnostic interpretations, consent documentation and follow‑up recommendations.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, audiology teams, speech and language therapists and allied health professionals to support safe patient outcomes.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control standards, pediatric safety guidelines and UAE healthcare regulatory expectations.
- Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, quality improvement activities, continuing medical education and departmental learning programmes.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with children and families, ensuring care decisions are understood and patient comfort is maintained throughout the treatment journey.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree such as MBBS, MD or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Licensed physician with specialization in Pediatrics and Otolaryngology or ENT.
- Board certification, fellowship or equivalent recognised specialist qualification in Pediatric ENT or Otolaryngology.
- Western‑trained education or professional experience is required.
- Minimum five years of experience as a Consultant Pediatric ENT in a reputable medical facility.
- Proven track record of delivering high‑quality patient care in a paediatric hospital, children’s clinic or specialist ENT setting.
- Strong knowledge of current paediatric ENT practices, diagnostic methods, surgical procedures and child‑centred treatment planning.
- Excellent diagnostic, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a busy hospital environment.
- Patient‑centred approach with compassion, patience and sensitivity when supporting children and their families.
- Strong commitment to clinical documentation, patient safety, ethical practice and continuous professional development.
- Eligibility for UAE healthcare licensing is preferred.
