Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Vascular Surgeon for a full-time role in Dubai, UAE. The surgeon will treat infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired vascular disorders, collaborating across pediatric specialties.

The ideal candidate holds board certification in vascular surgery with subspecialty pediatric expertise, minimum 5–7 years post-board experience, and a proven track record in complex reconstructions and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Vascular Surgery with pediatric subspecialty experience.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Vascular Surgery.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in Pediatric Vascular Surgery.
• Strong expertise in complex pediatric vascular and reconstructive procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired vascular disorders in pediatric patients.
• Perform pediatric vascular reconstruction procedures.
• Provide surgical management of vascular malformations and aneurysms.
• Undertake complex vascular access procedures.
• Evaluate and manage arterial, venous, and lymphatic disorders affecting pediatric patients.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric vascular surgery consultations.
• Participate in emergency management of pediatric vascular trauma and acute vascular conditions.
• Develop individualized surgical and postoperative management plans.
• Monitor recovery and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.

The Consultant Pediatric Vascular Surgeon will evaluate and manage children with complex vascular conditions while developing individualized surgical and postoperative care plans based on clinical requirements.

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired vascular disorders in pediatric patients.
• Perform pediatric vascular reconstruction procedures.
• Provide surgical management of vascular malformations and aneurysms.
• Undertake complex vascular access procedures.

Multidisciplinary Patient Management

• Collaborate with pediatric surgeons, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, intensivists, plastic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary assessment and treatment for complex pediatric vascular conditions.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, surgical risks, and postoperative care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
• Support established standards for patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement.

Clinical and Academic Contribution

The consultant will participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuing medical education programs. The position also requires maintaining current expertise in pediatric vascular surgery and contributing to ongoing improvements in surgical quality and patient care.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing vascular malformations and pediatric vascular anomalies.
• Exposure to hybrid vascular and endovascular pediatric procedures is an advantage.
• Academic and research experience is preferred.
