Stafmed is recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist for a full-time role at a leading UAE hospital. The position requires expert care for pediatric GI, hepatic and nutritional disorders, with advanced endoscopic procedures conducted within a multidisciplinary setting.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, contribute to governance and education, and deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Tier 1 qualification recognised internationally (ABMS/RCPSC/UK).
• American Board certification preferred for cross-border practice.
• Minimum 5 years post-specialisation experience in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Demonstrated leadership in a clinical/departmental setting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric GI, liver and nutritional disorders.
• Perform and interpret advanced pediatric endoscopy procedures.
• Manage complex cases including IBD, liver disorders, and feeding issues.
• Provide outpatient and inpatient pediatric gastroenterology care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes.
• Participate in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement.

About the Role

We are seeking a distinguished Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing complex gastrointestinal, hepatic, and nutritional disorders in pediatric patients. The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical and procedural care, utilizing evidence-based practices and modern gastroenterology techniques within a multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare environment. The successful candidate will join a progressive healthcare setting committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred pediatric gastroenterology services.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, and nutritional disorders
• Perform and interpret advanced pediatric gastroenterology procedures, including endoscopic evaluations
• Manage complex cases including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, feeding disorders, and gastrointestinal conditions
• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient pediatric gastroenterology care
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based practice
• Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support medical education, teaching, and departmental development

Qualifications

• Board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Recognised Tier 1 qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, or an equivalent recognised qualification
• American Board certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialisation experience in Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or departmental setting
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
