Job summary

Black Pearl Consult seeks a Consultant Interventional Neuroradiology for a hospital in Al Ain, UAE. You will diagnose and treat neurovascular conditions, oversee junior staff, and participate in multidisciplinary care.

The role requires MBBS or equivalent, Neurointerventional Radiology specialization, and a UAE DOH license or eligibility; overseas boards welcome; 5+ years of post-specialization experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician with Neurointerventional Radiology specialization.
• MBBS or equivalent.
• Board certification from American/UK/Australian/Western boards is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years post-specialization experience in Neurointerventional Radiology.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility.
• Experience in JCI-accredited hospitals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports, implements, and follows hospital and departmental initiatives, policies and procedures.
• Assists Division Chief in recruitment and ensuring adequate medical coverage.
• Oversees junior medical staff and ensures quality patient care.
• Leads ward rounds and documents clinical information clearly and timely.

Job description

We currently have the opportunity of a Consultant Interventional Neuroradiology with one of the reputed hospitals for Al Ain.

Consultant Neuro-Interventional Radiology

Job Role

Managerial Task:

• Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures
• Helps lead and implement the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processes
• Participates in the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processes
• Assists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring that adequate medical coverage is provided within the Division at all times
• Attends Divisional meetings as required
• Assists the Division Chief in the recruitment of new medical staff when appropriate
• Assumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Division Chief

Technical Task:

• Diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the post holder’s specialty. The Consultant Physician’s clinical duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and is assumes responsibility for the care they provide
• Complies with all established hospital polices regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practices
• Practices appropriate utilization of the organization’s resources
• Leads ward round; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practice
• Accurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established procedures
• Regularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as required
• Liaises with other medical specialties and support services for additional input as required
• Actively participates in multi-disciplinary meetings to help plan effective, safe and holistic care for individual patients
• Ensures preparation of patients for all procedures including obtaining informed consent
• Accepts clinically appropriate referrals from the Emergency Department, primary care, other departments, specialty clinics, walk in patients, and patients referred from other hospitals

Requirements

Qualifications

• Qualification from Tier 1
• Current national license or equivalent
• Certified proof of yearly CME

Additional Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialization in Neurointerventional Radiology
• American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board, any Western Board, Fellowship, or additional certification in Neurointerventional Radiology
• Minimum of 5 years of post-specialization experience in Neurointerventional Radiology
• Valid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) License or eligibility.
• Experience working within JCI-accredited hospitals is preferred.
