Qualifications

• Recognised Medical Degree.
• Specialist or Consultant qualification in Neurology or Stroke Medicine.
• Relevant specialist experience in stroke medicine and strong acute stroke management expertise.
• Valid DHA Licence or Eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist and Consultant-level stroke assessment and management.
• Review CT, MRI, CTA, MRA and vascular imaging.
• Coordinate thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathways where applicable.
• Develop secondary prevention plans and manage vascular risk factors.
• Coordinate post-stroke rehabilitation and follow-up.
• Participate in multidisciplinary stroke conferences and clinical governance.

Overview A leading Premium Private Hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant or Specialist in Stroke Medicine to join its Neurology and Neurosciences Department The successful candidate will provide comprehensive stroke assessment and management across emergency inpatient outpatient and follow-up services The position involves close collaboration with Emergency Medicine Neurology Neurosurgery Radiology Cardiology Intensive Care Rehabilitation Medicine Physiotherapy and allied health professionals

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide specialist and Consultant-level stroke assessment
• Diagnose and manage Ischaemic stroke
• Diagnose and manage Haemorrhagic stroke
• Diagnose and manage Transient Ischaemic Attacks
• Diagnose and manage Cerebral small-vessel disease
• Diagnose and manage Stroke-related complications
• Participate in acute stroke response and multidisciplinary stroke pathways
• Review CT, MRI, CTA, MRA and vascular imaging
• Coordinate thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathways where applicable
• Develop secondary prevention plans
• Manage vascular risk factors
• Coordinate post-stroke rehabilitation
• Provide long-term outpatient stroke follow-up
• Participate in multidisciplinary stroke conferences
• Educate patients and families regarding recurrence prevention
• Participate in clinical governance, research, teaching, audit and quality improvement

Requirements

• Recognised Medical Degree
• Recognised Specialist or Consultant qualification in Neurology Stroke Medicine or relevant specialty
• Relevant specialist experience in stroke medicine
• Strong acute stroke management experience
• Experience with multidisciplinary stroke services
• Valid DHA Licence or DHA Eligibility preferred
• Excellent communication and clinical leadership skills

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Dedicated Stroke Medicine fellowship or advanced training
• Experience in high-volume stroke centres
• Experience with thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathways
• Tertiary hospital experience
• Previous UAE/GCC experience
• Academic, teaching, or research experience
• Existing DHA licence or eligibility
