SearchPlus HR Consultancy is seeking an experienced Consultant in Stroke Medicine for a leading hospital in the UAE. The role focuses on assessment, acute management, and long-term care of stroke and cerebrovascular patients within a multidisciplinary neuroscience team.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Neurology, Stroke Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a relevant specialty.
• American Board, UK CCT or equivalent recognized Western qualification.
• Western-qualified candidate with established Consultant-level experience.
• Strong clinical experience in acute stroke, cerebrovascular disease, and stroke prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute stroke and cerebrovascular conditions.
• Provide timely evaluation and management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
• Manage hyperacute stroke cases, including assessment for thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathways.
• Provide ongoing inpatient and outpatient management for stroke patients.
• Develop individualized treatment and secondary prevention plans.
• Collaborate with neurology, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, ED, rehabilitation and ICU teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary stroke meetings and case discussions.
• Interpret imaging and diagnostic investigations to guide care.
• Support prevention, rehabilitation and long-term management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient safety standards.
• Participate in audits, research, teaching and service development.
• Contribute to stroke pathways, protocols and quality improvement.
