Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders and solid tumors.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans covering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, supportive care, survivorship care, and palliative care.
  • Interpret diagnostic investigations, including bone marrow biopsies, pathology reports, molecular testing, imaging studies, laboratory findings, and staging reports.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, providing specialist input on diagnosis, staging, treatment options, prognosis, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, pharmacists, nurses, palliative care teams, and allied professionals.
  • Monitor treatment response, manage complications, adjust therapy plans, and support patients through acute and long-term care pathways.
  • Provide consultation for complex cases across inpatient, outpatient, and multidisciplinary settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including consultation notes, treatment plans, consent records, chemotherapy plans, progress notes, and follow-up summaries.

Consultant – Hematology Oncology – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We are seeking an experienced consultant to deliver comprehensive specialist care for patients with blood disorders, hematological malignancies, and solid tumors. The role involves direct clinical care, diagnostic interpretation, treatment planning, multidisciplinary tumor board participation, supportive and palliative care, and contributions to clinical governance, teaching, research, and service development.

Job Type: Full‑time | Salary: AED 75,000–95,000 per month (tax‑free, subject to final offer)

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders and solid tumors.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans covering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, supportive care, survivorship care, and palliative care.

  • Engage in quality improvement, clinical governance, patient safety initiatives, audits, accreditation activities, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide teaching, supervision, and mentorship to junior physicians, residents, nurses, and allied professionals.
  • Participate in continuing medical education activities, departmental teaching sessions, case discussions, and educational programs.
  • Promote awareness of advances in hematology, oncology, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, immunotherapy, and advanced therapeutics.
  • Participate in clinical research, audits, evidence‑based practice initiatives, publications, presentations, and clinical trials where applicable.
  • Stay updated with emerging therapies, international oncology guidelines, clinical trial developments, and new standards in hematology oncology care.
Ideal Profile
  • Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Accredited specialty training in Internal Medicine followed by fellowship or subspecialty training in Hematology Oncology.
  • Board certification in Hematology, Medical Oncology, or Hematology‑Oncology from a recognized authority.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post‑board or post‑fellowship experience as a consultant Hematology Oncologist.
  • Strong clinical expertise in hematologic malignancies, benign blood disorders, solid tumors, and related therapies.
  • Experience in tertiary care hospitals, comprehensive cancer centers, or academic medical institutions preferred.
  • Experience with stem cell transplantation programs desirable.
  • Participation in clinical trials, oncology research, academic activity, publications, or presentations is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of precision medicine, molecular oncology, advanced therapeutics, and international treatment guidelines highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, clinical judgment, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language proficiency an advantage.
  • Eligibility for relevant consultant medical licensure required.
