SearchPlus HR is recruiting an experienced Consultant General Surgeon for a premier UAE healthcare client. The role requires UK CCT in General Surgery or an equivalent UAE-recognised specialist qualification and extensive general and advanced laparoscopic experience.

You will lead complex cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-standard surgical environment. You will supervise trainees, contribute to clinical governance, and support ongoing development of surgical services

• Substantial post-specialist training and consultant-level experience
• Proven expertise in general surgery and laparoscopic techniques
• Current professional medical registration

Responsabilités

• Provide consultant-level surgical care from assessment to follow-up
• Perform elective and emergency general surgery procedures
• Demonstrate minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic techniques
• Manage complex GI and abdominal wall conditions
• Conduct preoperative risk assessments and informed consent

SearchPlus HR is recruiting an experienced Consultant General Surgeon on behalf of one of our premium healthcare clients in the UAE. This opportunity is ideal for a highly qualified surgical professional holding a UK CCT in General Surgery or an equivalent recognized specialist qualification, with extensive experience in general and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

The successful candidate will join a reputable healthcare facility committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high standards of surgical care. The role offers the opportunity to manage complex surgical cases, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to clinical governance, and support the ongoing development of surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultant-level surgical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, operative management, and postoperative follow-up.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines and individual scope of practice.
• Demonstrate expertise in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgery, where appropriately trained.
• Manage complex surgical conditions involving the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal wall, and other areas within the scope of general surgery.
• Conduct preoperative evaluations, assess surgical risks, obtain informed consent, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary discussions and coordinate care with anaesthesiology, radiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and other relevant specialties.
• Ensure appropriate postoperative monitoring, complication management, and continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programmes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with institutional policies and UAE healthcare regulations.
• Supervise and mentor specialist trainees, residents, and junior medical staff, where applicable.
• Contribute to the development of surgical protocols, clinical pathways, and service improvement initiatives.

• UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Surgery, or an equivalent specialist qualification recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare licensing authority.
• Substantial post-specialist training and consultant-level clinical experience.
• Proven expertise in general surgical procedures and, where applicable, advanced laparoscopic techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex surgical cases and perioperative complications.
• Current or recent professional registration with the relevant medical regulatory authority.
• Certificate of Good Standing and verified qualifications and experience, as required by the licensing authority.
• Strong clinical leadership, communication, decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
