Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy is assisting a premier UAE healthcare client to recruit a Consultant General Surgeon holding a UK CCT or equivalent, with extensive experience in general and advanced laparoscopic surgery. The role is based in a reputable facility dedicated to clinical excellence and patient safety.

Qualifications

• UK CCT in General Surgery or an equivalent qualification recognised by the UAE licensing authority.
• Substantial post-specialist training and consultant-level clinical experience.
• Proven expertise in general surgical procedures and, where applicable, advanced laparoscopic techniques.
• Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level surgical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, operative management, and postoperative follow-up.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures in accordance with guidelines and scope of practice.
• Demonstrate expertise in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgery where trained.
• Lead multidisciplinary discussions and coordinate care with anaesthesiology, radiology, gastroenterology, and other specialties.
• Ensure postoperative monitoring, complication management, and continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
