Qualifications

• UK CCT in General Surgery or American Board Certification.
• Substantial consultant-level experience in general surgery.
• Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery is desirable.
• Strong clinical judgement, surgical decision-making, and patient-management skills.
• Eligibility for Consultant classification and professional licensing with Saudi health authorities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of general surgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and interpret labs/imaging.
• Develop individualized surgical treatment plans and provide perioperative care.
• Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures when trained.
• Manage acute surgical emergencies and postoperative complications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide consultations and guidance to other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain medical records and comply with hospital policies and infection-control standards.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, and CPD; support training of junior doctors.
