Astra ProMed in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled fetal medicine consultant to join the maternal-fetal medicine team across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra Region.

The role focuses on high-risk pregnancies, prenatal diagnostics, and fetal management within a multidisciplinary setting, with opportunities for advanced ultrasound, CVS/amniocentesis where credentialed, and CME support.

Qualifications

• MBBS degree and completion of OB/GYN residency.
• Fellowship/subspecialty training in fetal/maternal-fetal medicine.
• Board certification in fetal medicine or equivalent.
• DOH license/eligibility preferred.
• Internationally trained candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive fetal medicine services for high-risk pregnancies.
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound and fetal anomaly scans.
• Diagnose and manage fetal congenital anomalies and genetic conditions.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled consultant in fetal medicine to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra Region. The successful candidate will provide specialized care for high-risk pregnancies, fetal diagnosis, prenatal screening, and management of fetal abnormalities while working within a multidisciplinary maternal-fetal medicine team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive fetal medicine services, including prenatal screening, diagnosis, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, fetal anomaly scans, fetal echocardiography (where qualified), Doppler studies, and first-trimester screening.
• Diagnose and manage fetal congenital anomalies, genetic disorders, multiple pregnancies, fetal growth restriction, and other complex fetal conditions.
• Perform invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS), where credentialed.
• Develop individualized management plans for mothers and fetuses in collaboration with obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, geneticists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide prenatal counseling to expectant parents regarding fetal conditions, prognosis and available treatment options.
• Participate in multidisciplinary fetal medicine meetings and case discussions.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and international clinical guidelines.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, teaching, and continuing medical education activities.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in fetal medicine or maternal-fetal medicine from a recognized institution.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized qualification in fetal medicine/maternal-fetal medicine.
• DOH license/eligibility is preferred.
• Internationally trained candidates meeting DOH licensing requirements are encouraged to apply.
