Consultant Emergency Medicine in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the Hospital and Health Care sector is a senior physician opportunity for an experienced emergency medicine consultant hired through Dubai for a prestigious hospital role. The selected consultant will work in Saudi Arabia, providing urgent diagnosis, stabilization, treatment, multidisciplinary coordination, junior staff supervision, and high‑quality emergency care for acute and life‑threatening medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments, physical examinations, triage reviews, and urgent diagnosis for patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Diagnose and manage acute, critical, and life‑threatening conditions requiring rapid medical intervention.
- Implement timely treatment plans to stabilize patients, prevent deterioration, and support safe transfer or admission when needed.
- Provide emergency care for trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, infections, neurological emergencies, shock, and other urgent clinical presentations.
- Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ICU, surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, radiology, nursing, and allied health professionals.
- Oversee junior doctors, residents, and clinical staff by providing supervision, mentorship, and guidance during emergency care delivery.
- Document patient assessments, treatment decisions, procedures, clinical updates, and discharge or admission plans accurately and on time.
- Participate in emergency department quality improvement initiatives, audits, case reviews, and patient safety activities.
- Maintain continuous professional development and keep updated with advances in emergency medicine, trauma care, and acute clinical practice.
- Follow hospital protocols, emergency care standards, ethical guidelines, and Saudi healthcare regulatory requirements.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine from a recognized authority.
- UK CCT, American Board, Canadian Board, or equivalent certification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of post‑graduate experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Previous Middle East healthcare experience is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to manage acute and life‑threatening cases in a fast‑paced emergency department.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
- Fluent English communication is required, while Arabic proficiency will be an advantage.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, emergency response quality, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and clinically effective under pressure.
