Job summary

Astra ProMed is seeking a Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join a high-volume Emergency Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves providing expert emergency care, stabilizing critically ill patients, supervising procedures, and leading clinical governance with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold a medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine, be eligible for or hold a DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant licence, and bring substantial experience

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility for or a valid DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant licence.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience for Consultant level.
• Strong experience in emergency and acute care medicine.
• Current Good Standing Certificate and verifiable credentials.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage patients in the Emergency Department.
• Lead management of critically ill and trauma patients, including resuscitation.
• Perform and supervise emergency procedures within scope of practice.
• Coordinate patient care with specialists and inpatient teams.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
• Participate in protocols, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives.
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to junior physicians and medical staff.
• Participate in teaching, training, and CPD activities.
• Maintain compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, and clinical standards.

A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine to join its Emergency Medicine team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality emergency care, manage critically ill and complex patients, and contribute to clinical excellence and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Provide timely treatment for acute and life-threatening medical and surgical conditions
• Lead the management of critically ill and trauma patients, including resuscitation
• Perform and supervise emergency procedures within the scope of practice
• Coordinate patient care with specialists, inpatient teams, intensive care, and other departments
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation
• Participate in emergency department protocols, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to junior physicians and medical staff
• Participate in teaching, training, and continuing professional development activities
• Maintain compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, and applicable clinical standards
