Job summary

Rakhat Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Storekeeper to manage site stores, materials, tools, and equipment. You will ensure accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of all materials to support smooth project operations.

Responsibilities include receiving materials, maintaining stock records, issuing items on MRFs, and conducting regular stock counts. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, plus at least 3 years of site-store experience, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; diploma in logistics, supply chain, or store management is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Construction Storekeeper, preferably with a contracting or construction company.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, equipment, GRNs, MRFs, issue/return procedures, and stock reconciliation.
• Experience handling site stores, warehouses and construction project materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, tools, equipment, PPE, and consumables against PO, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of all material receipts, issues, returns, transfers, damages, and stock balances.
• Issue materials and tools only against approved MRFs or site store requests.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, stacking, and preservation of materials to prevent damage or wastage.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with store records or ERP/inventory system.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Procurement and Project teams for timely replenishment.
• Track tools and equipment issued to workers and subcontractors and ensure timely return.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, excess, slow-moving, or obsolete materials and equipment.
• Maintain organized filing of GRNs, delivery notes, issue vouchers, stock cards, and related documents.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Procurement, QA/QC, Finance, and subcontractors regarding material availability and requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping within the site store and warehouse.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports and inventory summaries as required.
