Job summary

You will supervise installation activities, monitor progress, track materials, and coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure on-time delivery per drawings and specifications. The role requires reading and interpreting construction and fabrication drawings, ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience as Site Engineer or Site Supervisor in construction or engineering projects.
• Knowledge of steel structures, fabrication, erection, and aluminium works.
• Experience with MIR, WIR, site inspections, and progress reporting.
• Ability to coordinate with main contractors, consultants, QA/QC teams, project management, and site execution teams.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and site documentation.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer with a background in construction site execution, structural steel, steel fabrication, steel erection, metalworks, or aluminium works. The candidate will be responsible for site supervision, installation activities, quality inspections, work progress monitoring, material tracking, and coordination with main contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure timely project execution in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily site execution, site supervision, installation, and construction activities for structural steel, steel structures, metal fabrication, metalworks, aluminium works, and related projects.
• Supervise steel erection, structural steel installation, fabrication-related site activities, architectural metalwork installation, and other assigned construction works.
• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, Project Engineers, Planning Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, HSE teams, subcontractors, and site supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Work Inspection Requests (WIR), site inspection requests, and quality inspection approvals.
• Monitor daily site progress, work completion, manpower deployment, productivity, and installation targets; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
• Track material delivery, material inward and outward movement, site material consumption, inventory, material shortages, and material availability for ongoing site activities.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, structural steel drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.
• Ensure site work complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Identify site constraints, execution delays, drawing discrepancies, and material shortages; coordinate corrective actions with the project team.
• Maintain site records, inspection reports, work completion records, manpower reports, material tracking sheets, and daily progress documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for site inspections, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective actions, quality compliance, and consultant approvals.
• Monitor site activities against project schedules and coordinate with the Planning Engineer and Project Engineer to achieve project milestones and deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience as a Site Engineer, Site Execution Engineer, Construction Site Engineer, Steel Erection Engineer, or Site Supervisor in construction or engineering projects.
• Practical knowledge of steel structures, structural steel fabrication, steel erection, metalworks, aluminium works, façade, cladding, or architectural metalwork installation.
• Experience with MIR, WIR, site inspections, progress reporting, material tracking, construction drawings, and site coordination.
• Ability to coordinate with main contractors, consultants, QA/QC teams, project management, and site execution teams.
• Strong knowledge of site execution, installation methods, quality requirements, construction documentation, and project coordination.
• Experience in PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings), industrial construction, EPC projects, fabrication, or subcontracting is preferred.
