Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Safety Manager in Dubai to develop and ensure safe operating techniques across projects. You will plan and lead job site safety meetings, update site plans monthly with the team, and coordinate with subcontractors to uphold disciplinary and safety procedures.

You will train staff in safety procedures, conduct periodic inspections, maintain manuals, and manage incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in safety management, ideally in fast-paced industrial or construction environments.
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
• Certified of OSHA, local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies.
• Strong leadership, ability to work independently, and proficient MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure safe equipment operating techniques.
• Plan and participate in job site safety meetings.
• Review and update monthly all site safety plans with project teams.
• Follow up with subcontractor representatives to ensure proper disciplinary procedures.
• Maintain and inspect job site and office manuals.
• Train employees in safety procedures per the construction safety management plan.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections on all job sites.
• Record and compile data, update logs, monitor equipment, and schedule maintenance.
• Update contingency and recovery plans.
• Investigate accidents/injuries and unsafe conditions; liaise with workers' compensation claims.
• Communicate with injured workers and plan return-to-work strategies.
