Job summary

IIQAF is seeking a highly qualified Safety Officer to oversee safety across multiple construction sites in the UAE. You will ensure compliance, conduct inspections and trainings, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA standards and the ability to work with project teams in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with NEBOSH/OSHA certifications are preferred and career development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related health and safety field.
• Proven experience as a Safety Officer in construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
• Excellent observational and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and ability to train diverse teams.
• Certifications such as OSHA 30 or NEBOSH are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety compliance.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and coordinate safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Maintain records of safety activities, incidents and inspections.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into daily operations.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
