Job summary
Mira Construction in Dubai seeks a skilled Safety officer to join our team on site across project offices and construction sites.
You will implement HSE policies, monitor performance, liaise with Safety Manager and contractors, review inspections and incident reports, and support emergency preparedness. Candidates should hold degree, UAE SARS/NEBOSH/IOSH certificates, Trakhees card or willingness to obtain, and at least 3 years of site safety supervision.
Qualifications
- Diploma or B.Sc in environmental/loss prevention or relevant engineering.
- Recognised Health and Safety education with UAE SARS card or NEBOSH/IOSH certificates.
- Trakhees card holder or willingness to obtain it.
- At least 3+ years of construction supervision experience as Safety Officer.
- UAE experience preferred; driving license is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Implement HSE policy, plan and applicable legislation and requirements.
- Monitor HSE performance and targets; suggest improvements.
- Liaise with Safety Manager and Contractors for HSE implementation.
- Monitor contractors to ensure safety measures and best practices.
- Review monthly HSE inspections reports for contractors.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and follow up minutes.
- Review emergency preparedness, permit-to-work, HSE meetings and records.
- Review incident/accident investigations and communicate learning points.
- Perform other responsibilities related to the position as needed.
