Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Project Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned construction projects in the UAE. You will maintain project-wise records, handle invoices and collections, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires experience as a Project Accountant in the UAE, construction industry familiarity, and mandatory Arabic language skills. You will support monthly closes and provide analysis to project and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Accountant in the UAE.
• Construction or Contracting industry experience is preferred.
• Arabic speaking is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities related to assigned construction projects.
• Maintain accurate project-wise financial records, expenses, revenues, and costs.
• Prepare and monitor project invoices, payment applications, and collections.
• Coordinate with project teams, procurement, commercial, and finance departments regarding project financial matters.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments, and expenditures.
• Prepare project-wise financial reports, statements, and cost summaries.
• Track accounts payable and accounts receivable related to projects.
• Verify supplier, subcontractor, and project-related invoices and supporting documents.
• Reconcile project accounts, bank transactions, supplier accounts, and customer balances.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on pending payments.
• Assist in monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Ensure proper allocation and recording of project expenses and costs.
• Support project management and finance management with financial analysis and reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required project-related financial documents when needed.
