Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Manager in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to lead the delivery of a large-scale mixed-use development. The role covers pre-construction planning through handover, with accountability for schedule, budget, quality, resources, and coordination among contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors.

You will implement risk management, ensure compliance with UAE building codes and safety standards, and maintain detailed project documentation and progress

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of professional construction management experience on large-scale or mixed-use projects.
• Proven experience as a Project Management Consultant or in a similar advisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, regulations, and building standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proficiency with Primavera and Microsoft Project.
• Strong leadership and team management capability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mixed-use construction activities from pre-construction planning through final completion and handover.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, construction teams, and vendors to support efficient project execution.
• Monitor construction progress against approved timelines and budgets and implement corrective actions when required.

Job Description

The Construction Manager will provide site-based management and coordination throughout the delivery of a large-scale mixed-use development. Working within AECOM 's Project Management Consultant environment, the position will act as a key interface between contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and project stakeholders. The role requires strong control of construction progress and the ability to identify emerging delivery issues, coordinate corrective measures, and maintain alignment with approved schedules, budgets, specifications, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
