Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee infrastructure projects from planning through completion. You will lead site teams, coordinate with clients and authorities, manage resources, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 8–12+ years of construction experience, especially in infrastructure, with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills. GCC experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in construction, with significant infrastructure project exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, and site management.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
  • Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and method statements.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE and QA/QC requirements.
  • GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities across infrastructure projects.
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities, resources, manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules and take corrective actions where required.
  • Review and resolve technical and construction-related issues in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, local regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of construction works and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned works.
  • Review project plans, drawings, BOQs, method statements, and material submittals.
  • Support cost control and ensure efficient utilization of project resources.
  • Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and challenges.
  • Identify potential delays, risks, and site issues and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Ensure proper documentation of construction activities, inspections, approvals, and project records.
  • Coordinate handover, testing, commissioning, snagging, and project close-out activities.

  • Infrastructure landscaping and external works
  • Underground utilities and associated civil works
Requirements:

  • 8–12+ years of experience in construction, with significant experience in infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, and site management.
