Job summary

Penspen? correction Penspen in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Construction Engineer – Instrument with extensive Oil & Gas project experience to lead on-site instrumentation and control installation and commissioning.

The role requires supervising I&C activities, reviewing drawings, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with standards.

10+ years in Oil & Gas, GCC experience, and a Bachelor's in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Oil & Gas with GCC experience.
• At least 5 years in a similar position on international major projects.
• Experience with onshore terminals, fields, and maintenance hubs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site execution of I&C construction activities.
• Ensure installation, testing, commissioning of I&C systems meet project requirements.
• Review technical drawings, layouts, and vendor documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors for smooth site operations.

Job Description / Role:

We are hiring Construction Engineers (Instrument) with proven experience in the oil and gas sector. The role involves supervising instrumentation systems installation and commissioning activities at the project site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee site execution of I&C construction activities.
• Ensure installation, testing, and commissioning of I&C systems meet project requirements.
• Review technical drawings, layouts, and vendor documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors for smooth site operations.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports and communicate updates to project management.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Oil & Gas (5) years in GCC region.
• Must have at least Five (5) years of experience in similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.

• Experience in handling terminals, onshore fields, and maintenance hubs is preferred.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with field instruments, DCS, PLCs, and control systems.
• Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
