Job summary

IRTH Group is seeking a Cost Control Engineer in Dubai to manage project costs across site and head office. You will monitor budgets, analyze variances, forecast expenditures and prepare cost reports to support profitability and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities include maintaining cost codes, tracking commitments, reviewing invoices and coordinating with project teams. A minimum of five years in cost control within construction is required, with strong MS Excel and ERP skills and UAE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control, project cost management, estimation, forecasting, or commercial reporting within construction.
• Strong understanding of construction project cost structures, budgets, commitments, variations, claims, and subcontractor cost control.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and cost-tracking tools or ERP systems; familiarity with Xpedeon is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost plans, cost reports, and monthly forecasts.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, PO's, subcontractor costs, materials, and site expenditures against budgets.
• Identify variances, overruns and risks; recommend corrective actions to management.
• Maintain project cost codes and allocate costs across labour, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and overheads.
• Prepare EAC, cost-to-complete, cash-flow forecasts, and expenditure analyses.
• Review subcontractor and supplier invoices, claims, variations, and change orders for compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, QS, procurement, finance and site teams for timely cost information.
• Support budgeting, value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain cost-control records and supporting documents per procedures.
