Job summary

Bybit is seeking an experienced compliance leader to establish and oversee its Global Compliance Operations function in the UAE. The role focuses on building an operating framework that translates regulatory licences into practical controls and sustainable business processes, ensuring regulatory commitments are embedded before go-live.

Qualifications

• Experience leading regulatory operations or compliance programmes in financial services, fintech or digital assets.
• Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable operating procedures and governance.
• Strong ability to coordinate across Licensing, Legal, Product and regional teams.

About the Role

Bybit is seeking an experienced compliance leader to establish and lead its Global Compliance Operations function.

This role focuses on building the operational infrastructure that supports Bybits regulatory licences across multiple jurisdictions. Rather than providing legal advice or interpreting regulations, the team ensures regulatory commitments are translated into practical operating procedures, governance frameworks, and sustainable business processes.

Working closely with Licensing, Legal, Product and the regional business teams, you will ensure every licensed entity launches with the appropriate operational controls and continues to meet its ongoing regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational implementation of regulatory licences across all licensed entities, ensuring operational readiness and regulatory commitments are fully embedded into business operations prior to go-live.
• Develop and maintain compliance operational frameworks, including SOPs, governance processes, control frameworks and monitoring mechanisms.
• Standardise compliance operational documentation, templates and implementation methodologies across jurisdictions.
• Maintain oversight of regulatory obligations by implementing governance, tracking and escalation mechanisms across licensed entities.
• Identify operational gaps between regulatory requirements, internal policies and business practices, and drive remediation.
• Partner with Licensing, Legal, Product, Technology, Operations and regional teams throughout the licensing lifecycle.
• Provide senior management with regular reporting on implementation progress, operational risks and regulatory commitments.
• Lead and develop the Compliance Operations team while driving continuous improvement across the function.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in Compliance Operations, Regulatory Operations or a related function within financial services, fintech or digital assets.
• Demonstrated experience implementing regulatory or licensing requirements into operational business processes.
• Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions and working with global stakeholders.
• Proven experience building or improving operational frameworks within a regulated environment.
• Strong programme management and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent written communication with demonstrated experience designing SOPs, operational procedures and governance documentation that enable scalable and consistent business operations.
• Previous people management experience with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
