Job summary

Pennell Hart, a Legal & Compliance specialist Executive Search firm, is seeking a Senior Compliance Counsel for a sovereign wealth fund based in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will lead policy updates, risk monitoring, and ethics training, ensuring alignment with international best practice.

A minimum of 12 years’ generalist experience in an investment environment is required, with exposure to Restrictive Securities.

Qualifications

Job description

Pennell Hart are a Legal & Compliance specialist Executive Search firm with operations in UAE and London. One of our key clients, sovereign wealth fund headquartered in Abu Dhabi, is looking to hire a Senior Compliance Counsel to be based at their Abu Dhabi HQ.

The Senior Compliance Counsel will be responsible for reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure alignment with relevant laws and regulations, compliance monitoring, risk management, reviewing audit reports, leading ethics and compliance training programs, enhancing ethics and compliance program in line with international best practice and driving ethics and compliance culture.

Our client is particularly interested in meeting with compliance professionals with at least 12 years' broad, generalist ethics and compliance experience gained within an investment environment. Candidates must also have experience dealing with Restrictive Securities. This role would not suit candidates coming from a purely financial services background. Ideally your experience will have been gained at a leading investment fund.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in law and a professional certification in Compliance ie CCEP.
