Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Advisor collaborates with Compliance team and First Line of Defense to promote an ethics-based culture, deliver practical solutions, guidance and training. He/she will be required to identify and manage moderately to complex Compliance Risks, implementing policies, processes and controls related to the Compliance Risk Universe and local regulation.

Job Accountabilities

As Compliance Advisor, your role will involve:

  • Assist in preparing relevant metrics that focus on the culture, training needs, and awareness activities.
  • Support with the review of new laws and trends, liaise with Legal team and ensure these are communicated and recorded appropriately.
  • Maintain internal compliance reporting system updated on each of the matters subject to reporting to local regulatory authorities.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer to craft relevant reports to be shared with the First Line leadership.
  • Assist in evaluating business activities (e.g. customer facing conduct) to assess compliance risks.
  • Help develop plans for regular awareness campaigns reminding employees of the respective Group Policy and how they can report a violation or a concern.
  • Support First Line of Defense with the adoption of Compliance Policies and local regulations.
  • Perform Compliance Oversight, establishing and maintaining reports to relevant stakeholders, as foreseen internal policies and local regulation.
  • Assist in developing reports that provide insights and trends for the first line of defense and for Compliance Officer.
  • May participate in assurance work to the business that the function inherent risks are being identified, managed and mitigated where possible.
  • Work with Compliance team to ensure the completion of their Compliance plan.
Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards is an added advantage.
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and develop practical solutions.
  • Understanding of Compliance frameworks, risk assessments, and internal control systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
  • Professional certifications in compliance, such as CAMS, ICA etc. are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on regulatory and industry developments.
