Udacity, now an Accenture company, is seeking a Community Moderator (External Contractor) to help oversee its UAE scholarship communities. This remote role requires daily forum monitoring and a proactive, student-focused approach to support learners and maintain a healthy, engaging online environment.

As part of a global team, you will report issues, organize content, and assist the Community Manager with engagement strategies.

Position Overview

Community Moderators help the Community Managers in moderating Udacity’s scholarship communities. Their main objective is ensuring that the students’ online community is healthy, engaging, and that community goals are successfully met. As a Community Moderator, you are expected to monitor the forum daily, including weekends — a minimum of 2x per day, ideally several hours apart (once in the morning and once in the evening).

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Residing in UAE
• Udacity course/Nanodegree Graduate is an added plus
• Good knowledge of online communities and ability to stay cool under pressure
• Strong internet connection, as daily duties are fully online
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive approach
• Understanding of online community platform moderation tools (forums, commenting, content management, etc.)
• Knowledge of Udacity’s services, targeted audience, and community culture
• Ability to effectively communicate information and report when needed
• Good knowledge of customer service principles
• Availability to work across days, evenings, and weekends as required
• Student-oriented mindset with a focus on understanding learner needs
• Flexibility to take on this challenge as a part-time external contractor alongside a current job
