Job summary

Fairmont Ajman is seeking a Commis II to join the Culinary team at our beachfront 5-star hotel. You will assist the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen team with daily food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

In this fast-paced setting, you will follow recipes, maintain hygiene and HACCP standards, and support service during busy periods. Previous kitchen experience and willingness to learn are preferred; training opportunities across Accor’s global network are

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or hotel environment.
• Culinary education or relevant training is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen hygiene.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen team with daily food preparation and production.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, seafood, sauces according to recipes.
• Support the preparation and presentation of dishes to established standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas.
• Report equipment issues or shortages to the supervisor.
