Job summary

Anantara Downtown Dubai is seeking a Commis II to assist in food preparation and service within our luxury hotel kitchen. You will support mise en place, adhere to presentation guidelines, and maintain a hygienic, safe cooking environment on a full-time basis.

You will participate in departmental training, help with events and banquets, and ensure compliance with hygiene, grooming, and safety requirements as part of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of food and mise en place as required.
• Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure quality culinary offerings to guests.
• Maintain hygienic working areas and uphold food safety practices.
• Look after all hotel property, equipment, and facilities under your responsibility.
• Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels.
• Assist with events, banquets, and other functions as required.
• Adhere to all personal hygiene and grooming standards, fire safety rules, and health and safety regulations.

Ensure all food in working areas complies with proper food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.• To take responsibility for looking after all hotel property, equipment, and facilities.• To participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and overall hotel service levels.• To maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.• To assist with events, banquets, and other functions as required.• To adhere to all personal hygiene and grooming standards, fire safety rules, and health and safety regulations.
