Job summary

Rotana Ras Al Khaimah - The Mangroves is seeking a passionate Commis I to join our kitchen brigade. You will assist in daily food preparation and uphold high standards of quality and hygiene in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Ideal candidates have professional kitchen training, strong culinary skills, and good command of English. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course.
• Experience in quality establishments with strong culinary skills.
• Ability to communicate in English and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Support Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work.
• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie.
• Keep work area hygienic at all times according to hotel rules.
• Control food stock and food cost in your section.
• Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different kitchen sections.
• Follow instructions from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks.
• Ensure high and consistent quality in daily preparation; stay updated with new products, recipes and techniques.
• Coordinate with other sections on cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
