Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai is seeking a commercially minded Commercial & Operations Data Analyst to transform large volumes of data into clear insights that drive business performance across multiple locations.

You will work with operations, commercial and client data, build Power BI dashboards, automate reporting, and support management with ad-hoc analyses to explain drivers behind results and guide decision-making.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, commercial analysis or operational reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Good Power BI skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Comfortable working with large datasets.
• Able to identify trends, exceptions and underlying drivers.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Able to explain data to non-technical managers.
• Curious and willing to investigate beyond the first explanation.

Responsibilities

• Analyse revenue, transactions, average transaction value and service mix.
• Track actual vs target, MTD, YTD and year-on-year performance.
• Analyse staff hours, booked hours, utilisation and productivity.
• Review booking patterns by location, day and time.
• Analyse cancellations, no-shows, waitlists and missed booking opportunities.
• Identify capacity and scheduling patterns that may be affecting performance.
• Analyse new clients, returning clients, retention, rebooking and frequency.
• Compare performance across locations and identify meaningful variances.
• Analyse employee productivity and service performance.
• Build and maintain clear Power BI dashboards and management reports.
• Reduce manual reporting through better automation.
• Reconcile data and identify reporting or data-quality issues.
• Support ad-hoc analysis for Operations and senior management

About the role

We are looking for a commercially minded Commercial & Operations Data Analyst to help us better understand business performance across a multi-location service business. This is not simply a reporting role. You will work with operational, commercial and client data to identify what is happening in the business, what is driving the result, and where management should focus its attention. You will work closely with Operations and senior management, turning large volumes of data into clear, useful insights.

Key responsibilities

What matters most in this role

We are not looking for someone who only produces dashboards. We are looking for someone who can look at a result such as: \"Transactions are down.\" and then investigate what is actually driving the change. The role is expected to identify and quantify business issues clearly. Operational management will own the decisions and execution.
