Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead for its high-rise building division in the UAE. The role oversees the commercial function across multiple projects, ensuring robust contract administration, accurate reporting, and effective procurement and risk management.

The ideal candidate has a BSc in Quantity Surveying, 10+ years in the field with 7+ in the UAE/GCC, and strong English communication skills. MRICS/MAIQS-CQS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying is mandatory.
• 10+ years of overall experience with at least 7 years in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong high-rise building experience with a main contractor or contracting establishment.
• Fluency in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• MRICS or MAIQS-CQS qualification is an added advantage.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to join our high-rise building construction team. The successful candidate will independently lead the commercial function across multiple projects, working closely with the Head of Contracts and Commercial to ensure robust contract administration, accurate commercial reporting, and effective management of subcontract procurement, bonds, and insurance matters throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Quantity Surveying — mandatory
• More than 10 years of overall experience, including at least 7 years in the UAE/GCC
• Strong high-rise building experience with a main contractor or contracting establishment
• Ability to independently lead a commercial team and manage multiple projects, reporting to the Head of Contracts and Commercial
• Hands-on experience in contractors' commercial reporting systems, including CTC and CVR
• Sound contract administration knowledge and practical experience with FIDIC forms of contract
• Strong capability in contractual correspondence, notices and commercial communication
• Hands-on experience in subcontract procurement and administration
• Experience administering bonds and insurance matters
• Fluency in English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• MRICS or MAIQS-CQS qualification will be an added advantage
