Job summary

GE Engine Services in the UAE seeks a Commercial Controller to support APAC and EMEA regions within the Controllership team. You will ensure timely financial reporting, uphold US GAAP, and provide strategic accounting guidance for deals and restructuring.

Responsibilities include enforcing GE policies, guiding finance/operations, and engaging with sales and risk teams to manage financial risk and drive process improvements across regions.

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university.
• Significant experience in Finance & Technical Accounting.

Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

The Commercial Controller for GE Engine Services APAC and EMEA regions is an integral member within the Controllership team supporting the overall mission to provide timely high quality financial reporting for use in the GE Engine Services business. Responsible for ensuring technical accounting compliance strengthening financial and operational internal controls and driving process simplification to achieve operational excellence. Leads efforts to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis enabling data-driven decision-making. Interprets internal and external accounting standards to provide strategic guidance to the commercial organization on deal structuring for new business opportunities and restructuring activities. Proactively recommends best practices to optimize products processes and services while staying ahead of industry trends to influence and enhance organizational performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Policy Compliance and Technical Support
  
  
  
  • Enforce accounting policies through interpretation of US GAAP and GE policies.
  
  
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and operations teams ensuring compliance with US GAAP GE General Accounting Procedures (GE GAPs) GE Enterprise Standards Standard Operating Procedures and Process Maps.

Required Qualifications
